Property Description

Propertyworld is delighted to present this attractive, three double bedroom, link detached family home in highly sought after Stodart Road, Penge. Bright and airy, with an abundance of natural light, the accommodation is extensive, with almost 1650 square feet of living accommodation, arranged over two floors. As well as a large cellar, the property also has a huge loft which can be converted to provide further living space if required. Most rooms have original stripped wooden flooring.

On the ground floor there were originally three separate reception rooms, though two have been opened to create a gorgeous 29ft main lounge with bay window. The reception room to the rear is also generously proportioned, with floor to ceiling patio doors, which flood the room in natural sunlight. There you can access the 60ft plus South facing garden, with pretty lawn, patio, and plenty of mature shrubs, bushes and trees. The kitchen is over 19ft long has access into the rear garden and front driveway.
There is an opportunity to extend to the rear and create an impressive open plan kitchen diner if desired. Upstairs you will find three generous double bedrooms, the principle located to the front. There is a generous family bathroom with a walk in shower and bath with a separate W.C.
Location wise its is hard to beat.

Stodart Road is a pretty residential road of period houses, within a short walk of Penge’s centre, with its wide range of independent shops, gastropubs, restaurants and cafes. The iconic Crystal Palace Park is a short stroll away and there are a number of schools close by. There are numerous mainline/Overground stations that can be walked too easily, with Penge East and West in particular proving fast and regular services into London Bridge and Victoria.
This is an impressive family home, with character, original features and the opportunity to extend further.
It must be seen!

We have loved our time in this home for many reasons. We have raised our children in this comfortable, spacious home and had plenty of space for entertaining family and friends over the years.” The cellar and loft spaces have meant that storage has never been an issue. The shed has been an extra workspace in the past with power for light and heating and the Southwest facing patio means sunshine for the majority of the day. The house itself has many period features, including the ceiling roses and cornices and one original fireplace remaining. We are sad to be leaving the Street with it's excellent nearby connections via the variety of train and bus lines in all directions meaning adults' and youths' needs are catered for, as well as being within a 20 minute drive of the Kent countryside.
