Propertyworld is pleased to offer this first floor, two bedroom, VICTORIAN CONVERTED MAISONETTE, with its very SOUTH FACING, PRIVATE REAR GARDEN, to the Sales Market . Situated within one of the most sought after locations of SE20, the property is close to Penge High Street, with its array of independent shops, restaurants, cafes and gastro pubs. The award-winning Crystal Palace Park is also just a short stroll away - as are several stations, including Penge East and West providing fast regular services into central London and beyond.
Access to the property is via its OWN FRONT DOOR, with the all of the accommodation on the first floor. To the front is a bright and airy lounge that stretches out across the entire front of the property, a stunning room boasting original exposed varnished wooden floor boards and, best of all, an idyllic period fireplace and surround. It benefits from high ceilings and tall bay windows which bathe the room in natural light. There are two bedrooms, the principal is larger than the second, with views over the garden, whilst the second bedroom sits just behind the first. The bathroom provides a standard three-piece suite, fully tiled walls and floor, and heated towel rail. To the very rear of the property is an spacious kitchen/diner with modern fully fitted wall and base units in a light palette, solid wooden worktop, and integrated appliances. A partially glazed door gives access to a staircase down to a private rear garden with a host of mature plants. It’s a pure oasis, the perfect spot to unwind and relax with friends.
With NO ONWARD CHAIN, we recommend a viewing at your earliest convenience.
We loved living in this home with our young daughter. We have mostly missed the charm of its period features, our time by the fire with the exposed brick chimney, the high ceilings, the wooden sash windows and the convenience of our modern kitchen and bathroom. All full of natural light, the large kitchen was always so nice to cook in.
We loved having direct access to our south facing garden, having our meals in the sun whenever we fancied and chatting with our lovely neighbours.
Even as a family, storage has never been an issue for us as we enjoyed plenty of storage space in the insulated loft or charming garden shed. We miss Penge's community feel and the proximity of its lovely independent shops. Alexandra Nursery and the Goldsmith Arms pub were some of the favourites, but we were blessed with so many more. We also loved being able to walk everywhere, whether for groceries or to catch a train to central London or for picnics in the amazing Crystal Palace Park.
